Back when I first got into game development, I wanted to dive into touch input in Unity to develop some sort of application for mobile devices. What started as something that peaked my interest grew into an entire project. Pulse was a really fun project to work on and teach myself how to interact with mobile devices in video games.
The objective of the game is to score the ball into the goal by tapping behind it. However, as the counter in the upper corner shows, you only have so many taps to make it in. I like to think of it as a small mobile version of minigolf. There are four different worlds in the game, each introducing a new game mechanic such as spikes, bounce pads, and pushable objects.
This following video shows the basics of gameplay in Pulse, give it a watch!
The next video shows an updated version of the game. This includes mostly the menu system and the smooth transitions I created through each scene. I really enjoyed making this game with a simplistic art style.
